Sritama Bose
Scientific Advisory Board of Chemistry Today
Biography
Dr Sritama Bose is the Head of Chemistry Research & Innovation at the Nucleic Acid Therapy Accelerator, Medical Research Council (UKRI). She completed her PhD in synthetic organic chemistry specializing in total synthesis of biologically active natural products from Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science. Sritama completed postdoctoral tenures at Peking University and Stellenbosch University followed by a short stint as visiting scientist at Slovak Academy of Sciences. Thereafter, she joined Durham University as a senior postdoctoral scientist, where she gained expertise in nucleic acid chemistry. With a passion for bridging the gap between laboratory discoveries and patient care, Sritama joined Sygnature Discovery, a drug discovery CRO, as a senior scientist, where she applied her expertise in organic synthesis to the translational aspect of drug development, as well as gained further insight into medicinal chemistry. Sritama joined NATA from Sygnature Discovery, bringing her expertise in drug discovery, multistep organic synthesis and nucleic acid chemistry, where she is currently working on multiple projects focussing on oligonucleotide conjugation for the development of nucleic acid therapeutics.
