Biography
PhD in Chemistry from the University of Alcala de Henares, he has more than 15 years of experience in the field of molecular and cellular biology, more specifically in the study of the regulation of gene expression. He had also participated in different international projects encompassed in the areas of cancer, apoptosis, aptamers, regulation of protein synthesis in eukaryotic organisms, RNA-binding proteins, and study of the biogenesis of ribosomal RNA. His professional career began at the Ramon y Cajal Hospital (Madrid, Spain) where he completed his doctoral thesis. His postdoctoral training was carried out at various renowned national and international centres such as the Apoptosis Research Center (CHEO Research Institute, Ottawa, Canada), the Center for Severo Ochoa Molecular Biology (CBM-SO, Madrid, Spain) and the MRC Toxicology Unit (Leicester, United Kingdom).
Currently, he is project manager in AptaTargets where he manages preclinical studies of ApTOLL in other indications and the CMC section of the company to handle the manufacturing and quality control of ApTOLL.
