Dr. Garman is the VP of Translation and Development at ProteinQure Inc. – a Canadian Biopharmaceutical company using computation peptide drug design to develop novel therapeutics in areas of unmet need.  For 15 years prior to joining ProteinQure, he was the Chief Technology Officer at NoNO Inc, where he helped develop the peptide drug nerinetide for the reduction of disability after acute stroke from early animal studies through global Phase 3 clinical trials.  At NoNO, Dr. Garman was responsible for all aspects of CMC, safety pharmacology, toxicology, IP and R&D related to lifecycle management.  Prior to that, he held various positions at Arbor Vita Corporation in California from Scientist through VP of Business Development as he helped develop their peptide platform technologies that led to therapeutic programs and 2 US diagnostic device approvals.  Dr. Garman received a Ph.D. from Stanford University in Developmental Biology.
