Mr. Rethage served the last 20+ years in senior CDMO positions in the Healthcare Industry and the last 7+ years as advisor related to Life Sciences investments.
Recently Mr Rethage founded Rethage Advisors LLC, an advisory firm to the pharmaceutical industry and associated industry verticals.
Mr. Rethage has served as President of Nitto Avecia Inc, a leading Massachusetts based manufacturer for oligonucleotide API’s for 12+ years and as President of Nitto Avecia Pharma Services, Irvine CA, a leading CDMO for sterile drug product manufacturing, analytical development and related services.
Previous positions include Executive Vice President Operations Ricerca Biosciences, OH; Vice President and General Manager Fine Chemicals Degussa North America and in Europe with Huels AG, Germany in Mergers & Acquisitions as well as  for Huels Italia, S.P.A., Milan in Technical Business Development.
Mr Rethage advises Brightwood Capital Advisors LLC, NY and works with start-ups as member of Launchpad Venture Group LLC and MassChallenge a leading global start-up accelerator.
Mr. Rethage holds a M.S. in Engineering from University Essen, Germany and a MBA equivalent degree from University Bochum, Germany
