Mike Webb PhD holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Essex, an MSc in Molecular Spectroscopy from Kingston University, and a PhD in Chemistry from Imperial College London. He has over 40 years’ experience of CMC drug development experience from initial IND to registration, having been intimately involved in numerous NDA’s. He had served as Vice President for development chemistry and analysis for GSK in Europe. He has been involved in developing CMC in the emerging area of therapeutic oligonucleotides for around 15 years and frequently presents at international meetings. In the last 7 years he has been consulting on oligonucleotide CMC development with biotechnology and big pharma clients across most modalities (ASO, SiRNA, MiRNA and PMO) from the pre-clinical phase to NDA/MAA. He also develops and runs training courses on control strategies for therapeutic oligonucleotides.
